Valentine Sticky Heart

This Valentine was made last year, but I still love it. The heart is from Stampin' Up!'s sticky cuts. The sticky cuts are like sticky strip, only on large sheets and die cut. Just peel off one side, adhere and remove the top red sheet and sprinkle with micro beads, assorted beads or glitter. On this card I did a combination of micro beads and red glitter.
The sentiment is from "Happy Heart Day". Cardstock is pretty in pink, real red and a dsp (sorry, don't recall.) Thanks for looking and Happy Valentine's Day!

I cased this card by Melissa Aggie (on Splitcoast Stampers). I switched some colors around but this is pretty much the same.

The stamp set is "Polka Dot Punches" and the designer series paper is "Delicate Dots" both from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. If you are interested in these FREE stamps, contact me for details or see your Stampin' Up! demonstrator!

5th Birthday

This layout was inspired from an awesome stamper on splitcoast. There is a link to this great website on the left.
The cardstock and designer series paper comes from a retired simply scrappin' kit called Creative License. The base is retired in color, blue bayou, accented with soft sky, wild wasabi (also retired in colors) and pumpkin pie. The number "5" is a piece of chip board covered with designer series paper from the kit.
When I cover chipboard with paper, I like to use Stampin' Up!'s glue sticks. They stick great and are very economical.
The stamp set is "Party Hearty" and the circles were made with Stampin' Up!'s circular punches. SU now carries a Circle Scissors Plus! Can't wait to order one!

Tart & Sweet

Hope you are staying warm! It is -20 degrees today, and that's without the windchill! With all the snow on the ground, this card reminds me that we will have green grass and flowers, eventually...

I made this card with Stampin' Up!'s new DSP, Raspberry Tart and a new stamp set called "Sweet Stems." The "A Note of Thanks" stamp is from the "Thank You Kindly" stamp set. The flowers were stamped in Jet Black Stazon on whisper white and colored in using rose red, regal rose and old olive reinkers. The ribbon is regal rose wide grosgrain.

The designer series paper and stamp set can be ordered starting Monday, January 19th at 1:00 central standard time. This is the magic hour as the new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog debuts. I am very excited about the new stamp sets (including a super cute dog set) and handy new tools (the full heart punch is all mine!) The new catalog will be available online next Monday, or contact me or a demonstrator near you for a printed copy. I've got mine!

Thanks for looking,

Melinda

Wedding Baroque

Woohoo! I received a new digital camera for Christmas, (thanks Dad and Mom)! This one actually takes good photos up close.

My cousin is getting married this weekend so I went to my "Baroque Motifs" stamp set. This set is so versitile, I reach for it often. The swirls are stamped in versa mark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. The small flowers are stamped onto glossy white with Riding Hood Red. Cardstock is basic black, riding hood red and glossy white.

I'm planning on posting way more often, hopefully once a week. Although I was already on the trends for 2009 which is slow blogging. Who knew!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's been so loooong!

I'm back!

This is a simple card using the scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, pink pirouette cs, whisper white cs, regal rose ink and a half-back pearl from the pretties kit. It is definitely nicer in real life.
The stamp set is the new "Wow Flowers" from the Fall/Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog. If you haven't seen it yet go to www.stampinup.com for a look online. Or I have catalogs available...
This card was cased by a talented stamper on splitcoast stampers. Follow the link on the right to get more inspiration.
Thanks for looking.
